Things to do at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood sits in Universal City, roughly 20-40 minutes by car from Hollywood or Downtown LA depending on traffic, and is a working film and TV studio combined with a thrill-ride theme park, not a family-park equivalent of Disneyland (which is in Anaheim, in Orange County, a separate park under a separate company).

The Studio Tour tram ride through backlot sets is the signature attraction alongside roller coasters and immersive rides. Plan on a full day: 2026 gate admission runs roughly $114-174 depending on the date, and buying tickets online in advance is worth doing in peak season, since queues at the gate and for popular rides can otherwise eat hours.

There is no direct Metro rail stop at the entrance.
